With an industry-leading radio design, the ORiNOCO Gold Card plugs directly into a laptop type-II PCMCIA slot. The card is 11 MBPS and is IEEE 802.11b certified. The Classic ORiNOCO Gold Card is brand new in the original retail packaging.

The 5 dBi gain low profile magnetic mount antenna is extended by 10 feet of low-loss LMR240 cable. The cable is terminated to an N-type connection. The antenna will extend the range of the card by 50%.

This antenna has a built in ground plane, making it usable in almost any situation.  It could even be used while inside a backpack. 

The kit is also available without the ORiNOCO Card.

Don't be fooled by other similar antenna's without a ground plane, and that use cables with as much as 5dB loss.
