These single band radios operate in the unlicensed frequency bands, either 2.4 GHz or 5.x GHz to meet most countries’ regulations governing frequency use. The radios have integrated antennas for easy deployment and also N Connectors for an external antenna to increase the range and added flexibility. The resulting Nexus solutions simplify all aspects of wireless installations to quickly get users online. The completeness of the products allows for lower installation skills to significantly reduce the provisioning cost.
The Nexus products are system certified for regulatory compliance in all major global markets. The products are housed in a compact weatherproof enclosure built to last in harsh conditions. The industrial grade electronics delivers reliable performance in all climates, withstanding temperature extremes of -49F to 140F (–45C to +60C).
Nitin Mahajan, Product Manager at smartBridges, said, “The new models are targeted for service providers who are looking for a reliable, high availability, easy-to-install and inexpensive system. We expect rapid adoption by those who are attracted by the Nexus PRO radios but do not need all the features and multi-band flexibility.”
